Princess Kate Shutting Down Prince William Rumor Goes Viral

Following the royal family’s celebration of their 13th wedding anniversary last month, Princess Catherine’s remark dispelling a rumor about Prince William during their engagement went viral.

Beginning in 2024, as the princess withdrew from public view to have abdominal surgery, the public’s fascination with William and Catherine’s relationship grew. The prince left his immediate royal duties to take care of his wife and their three children after the surgery was announced.

In an announcement on March 22, Catherine gave a reason for her extended hiatus from public life. She stated that she was receiving preventative chemotherapy and had received a cancer diagnosis after her surgery. While his wife continues to prioritize her health, William has resumed a reduced schedule of events and activities related to work.

As there haven’t been any recent images of Catherine, her admirers have been using social media to showcase certain moments from her royal career. As a result, a number of picture and video compilations have gone viral. The princess’s response to the ongoing rumor that she had posters of her future husband on her bedroom walls as a teenager has been the subject of the most recent of these.

The video, which was posted to TikTok by user @milfssb and includes several snippets from Catherine’s recent public appearances, has amassed over 400,000 views and 90,000 likes.

During her first official interview, which she and William conducted together after their engagement was revealed in November 2010, Catherine was questioned about the poster rumor.

ITV journalist Tom Bradby said to the future royal, “There’s a story that goes around that you had a picture of him on your wall.” William responded, “There wasn’t just one,” though. There were roughly twenty.”

Catherine shot down the rumor right away, stating, “He wishes. I apologize; I had the Levi’s guy, not a photo of William, on my wall.”

Numerous TikTok users complimented the princess and her response in the video’s comments section.

“She’s very famous,” a user commented.

Another said, “I would never be able to get over that if I were William.”

One more person said, “Yeah, he wishes.”

While attending the University of St. Andrews in Scotland, the couple first crossed paths in 2001. On April 29, 2011, they were married at Westminster Abbey. Three children have been born to them together: Prince George in 2013, Princess Charlotte in 2015, and Prince Louis in 2018.

William and Catherine unveiled a never-before-seen portrait from their wedding day, captured at Buckingham Palace by photographer Millie Pilkington, to celebrate their 13th wedding anniversary last month.

The image, which was in black and white, featured Prince William in his Household Cavalry uniform and the princess wearing an Alexander McQueen wedding gown that she accessorized with an antique tiara that Queen Elizabeth II had lent her.
